Our best friends are Ben and Kate from the Real Seed Catalogue.
We think the Real Seed Catalogue may be the most important company in the UK today. There's not really anyone left selling just seeds any more. Nearly all seeds you can buy are sold by people who make weedkiller and pesticides, not seeds grown for "taste" which doesn't really seem to be important to many people these days.
The Real Seed Catalogue want you to grow plants. Year after year after year. The most important thing with growing food is doing it for a very long time. Which means saving your seeds.
Dig for Victory
Brilliant idea! If you grow veggies, you're going to have some left over. On this brilliant site, you can find people who don't have enough of what you've got, and you can swap with them for what they have too much of.
We're a little bit cautious. Isn't it the commodification of food that got us into this mess in the first place? But, as long as people don't try to specialise or evaluate the cost-benefit and all that nasty nonsense, then we think it's worth a shout

Books are our friends almost as much as nice people, but not quite as much as peas.
